Birth Work

A doula is an advocate for you to have the birthing experience you most desire. My commitment is to support you mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually throughout your pregnancy & birth journey.

My basic contract includes a free introductory phone/zoom meeting, 1 prenatal visit before birth, attendance & support during labor & delivery, 1 postnatal visit along with unlimited text, call & voice note support. I always bring a Polaroid camera for a few complimentary keepsake photos in addition to taking phone photos & video - if desired.

I love creating a safe environment for you to express yourself fully. My goal is to mirror back the innate wisdom inside of you and to remind you of how powerful you are.

There are additional services you can add to your doula plan like reiki infused bodywork, film photography, prenatal & postnatal yoga as well as extras postpartum care visits.

I will guide you in training your body and mind to give birth on your own terms.

I respect each persons right to choose what they feel is best for themselves and their families. I view birth as a sacred ceremony. It is a time for reverence.

I will advocate for you and stand up for you and your baby's rights to be honored throughout the entire birthing process. It’s my job (and my honor) to encourage you every step of the way.

Statistics show that having a doula as a member of the birth team decreases the overall cesarean rate by 50%, the length of labor by 25%, the use of pitocin by 40%, and requests for an epidural by 60%. Doulas often use the power of touch and massage to reduce stress and anxiety during labor.

My skill set as a doula is enhanced by my trauma informed yoga background, meditation, reiki and personal experience of giving birth 4 times at home.

I completed my full spectrum doula training with Doula Trainings International in Austin, Texas in 2019 and am working towards certification. I have a wide range of tools that provide comfort and support during labor. My commitment is for you to have a pleasurable, empowered birth that leaves you feeling confident, capable & ready to take on the next chapter of your life as a new parent.

What is a Doula?

Cost + Fees

Standard in-person birth contract: $400 - $800 sliding scale

Placenta Preparation: $50 to cut and store placenta for freezing to be used in smoothies post birth

Film photography: $40/roll

Virtual Doula: $350 for 4 zoom calls

Postpartum Support: $100 a day / 3 hours a day

Reiki bodywork session: $80/hr

Pre/post natal zoom yoga class: $50/hr

You can combine options or pick and choose any of the offerings. Payment plans are always available. My goal is to make birth support accessible to those who want it.
